What is the PMI PMO-CP certification?
The PMI PMO-CP (PMO Certified Practitioner) is a certification from the Project Management Institute for professionals who lead, manage, or work within Project Management Offices. It validates your ability to build and run a PMO that delivers measurable business value.
How is PMO-CP different from the PMP?
The PMP certifies your ability to manage individual projects. The PMO-CP certifies your ability to lead a Project Management Office, including strategy alignment, governance design, portfolio oversight, and organizational transformation. The exam has 120 questions over 165 minutes, covering six domains: Organizational Development and Alignment (16%), PMO Strategic Elements (18%), PMO Design and Structuring (18%), PMO Operation and Performance (15%), PMO Enhancement and Effectiveness (18%), and People (15%).
